About Me

A while ago, I realized I wasn’t too happy, just stuck in the same routine with the same outcomes. I am 21 years old. Ever since, I’ve been on a mission to truly experience my life and say yes to the world and its limitless possibilities. I’m not a fan of the completely outrageous, and the things I expose myself to are for my personal satisfaction alone. If you all would like to join in admiring all the world has to offer, and my reactions to it, you’re more than welcome. I just hope those reading this understand that there is so much out there for us to explore and enjoy, and there is never an excuse worthy enough to justify excluding yourself from life.

Me, exploring the world

The original purpose of my blog was focusing on college living, but I’ve come to realize such a subject can be quite narrowing. I’ve even gone on to expand to another blog detailing my adventures with food and fitness, Happiness Through Health. I’ve also found the need to expand because I am not going to be defined by the school I attend, but by the choices I make while a part of its community. Still, I will include the original “About” section, as it is the set up and inspiration for the start of this blog:

Your time spent in college is supposed to be the happiest time of your life. With new friends, new experiences, and new surroundings there is always something to be excited about. However, at certain times of the semester those wonderful times can seem far removed. Whether it’s the winter chill, intensive projects, or a bout of homesickness there are always times when that happiness seems far removed. This blog will also showcase the wonders of college life (minus the wild nights and illegal frills) and prove that joy is ever-present, even if slightly veiled.

  1. Judging from the general mood of your about me, I think you might enjoy “The Happiness Project” by Gretchen Rubin. Check it out- I love it and leaf through it frequently :]

  2. Hey, thanks for liking my post, Blueberry Almond Scones! 🙂 I remember coming to a similar realization, and conclusion, about joy and happiness when I was in College too! I’ve only read a couple of your posts, but I’m enjoying them! 🙂

    • Thank you so much! I’m going to enjoy trying out that recipe for Blueberry Almond Scones (though I have a pail list item regarding cooking all of the recipes I’ve collected, and this will just add to the pile haha)
